As a leading portfolio executive with numerous and relevant leadership positions from all key vantage-points suitable to successful deal formation – financial strategist, portfolio manager, fully-immersed operator – he is uniquely equipped to transform companies, which he has done on four (4) separate occasions, from the inside out, making strategy operational and manageable, accelerating growth and making success tangible.

As founding President & CEO of private-equity majority-owned Agilex Flavors & Fragrances, Inc., he effectively transformed the company into a cohesive, market-driven business paving the way to a series of successful liquidity events. As Managing Director of NYSE-listed Bush Boake Allen’s European specialty chemical subsidiary, he successfully drove enhanced performance and profitability improvements and helped lead the successful sale of BBA to International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. for a transaction value of $946M and a profitable investor exit. As Executive VP of Cultor Food Science, Inc., a $450M specialty chemical subsidiary of $1.6B HEX-listed Cultor Ltd., and previously, as President of the Flavor Division and Board Member of Cultor China Ltd., he led the businesses successful repositioning, growth and profitability performance improvement and was able to leverage his keen insider perspective and key relationships throughout this global enterprise to drive the needed turnaround activities that ultimately led to the successful sale to Danisco A/S.

Carlo is known for transforming middle-market companies of great promise into well-run, effectively positioned, platform-building assets of high intrinsic value in both Public Company environments and to the Private Equity investor community. And he is “M&A Proven” with 22 successful transactions and integrations of multiple sizes and levels of complexity through every progressive phase during every upturn and downturn of the economic business cycle over the past 20 years.

He earned his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
